Stewardship of Historic Marshall Park
Marshall Park will always be HOSA’s anchor project, starting back more than 30 years ago. HOSA led the effort in 1989 that relocated the original 1911 bandstand back to the center of the Park. HOSA’s goal since has focused on maintaining Marshall Park as a beautiful welcome mat into our downtown area.
JK & Eleanor Lemon’s extraordinarily generous gift of Marshall Park to Ocean Springs was transformational to the community. Their gift requires the Park to always be maintained as a public greenspace, This gift from the Lemon’s showed such amazing generosity & deep community spirit, something for which HOSA and OS will always be grateful. HOSA was honored to be named by the Lemons as stewards of the Park.
